DESERT KNOWLEDGE AUSTRALIA - OUTBACK BUSINESS NETWORKS DESERT KNOWLEDGE AUSTRALIA - OUTBACK BUSINESS NETWORKS

The $10 million Desert Knowledge Australia Outback Business Networks Project in partnership with RAPAD will strengthen the small to medium enterprise sector in regional areas helping to build local economies. The project establishes new networks and builds on existing cross-border industry networks across Outback Australia.

RAPAD is one of 28 regional partner organisations involved in the project with RAPAD’s Ted Burling representing the Central Western Queensland region. The project connects business across nine regions of Outback Australia: Central West Qld, North West Qld, Central Australia NT, Barkly NT, Kalgoorlie‐Boulder WA, Mid West Gascoyne WA, Pilbara WA, Far West NSW and Far North SA with five industries targeted: creative industries, local produce, mining services, sustainable building and tourism.

 

Outback Business Networks develops networks and business opportunities by facilitating:

  • training programs
  • information sessions
  • meetings
  • collaborative projects and forums
  • links to key corporate partners
  • links to established regional services
