This team of specialists service the regions surrounding these locations.  Contact your local Rural Financial Counsellor if you are in need of assistance to:

  • identify financial and business options
  • negotiate with their lenders
  • identify any advice and training needed and develop an action plan
  • find information about government and other assistance schemes
  • get referrals to accountants, agricultural advisers and educational services
  • get referrals to Centrelink and to professionals for succession planning, family mediation and personal, emotional and social counselling.

FLOOD ASSISTANCE FOR PARTS OF SOUTHERN QLD

As a result of the recent flooding affecting communities within Queensland, QRAA will be providing Special Distaster Flood Assistance (March 2010) to primary producers and small businesses that have suffered direct damage.

Eligible Local Government areas*:
Balonne Shire Council, Banana Shire Council, Barcoo Shire Council, Blackall-Tambo Regional Council, Bulloo Shire Council, Central Highlands Regional Council, Diamantina Shire Council, Maranoa Regional Council, Murweh Regional Council, Paroo Shire Council, Quilpie Shire Council and Western Downs Regional Council.

RFCSQ-CSR is an entirely independent organisation operating under the governance of the Remote Area Planning and Development Board based in Longreach.
